Adult Education Wolverhampton will hold a Volunteer Fair on Tuesday 13 October 2026 from 10am to 1pm at its main campus in the City Learning Quarter on Old Hall Street. The event is free and open to both students and the general public.
The fair aims to connect residents with charities, non-profit organisations, and community groups across the city looking for volunteer support. Attendees will meet coordinators face to face and explore a range of volunteering roles to find causes that match their values and schedules.
Skills and opportunities
Councillor Paula Brookfield, Cabinet Member for Jobs, Skills and Opportunities at the City of Wolverhampton Council, said volunteering offers a way to develop new skills, build confidence, and enhance CVs. "Thousands of people in Wolverhampton give up their time to volunteer in one way or another," she said. "If you have time on your hands, or are thinking of applying for a new job in the near future, why not consider volunteering?"
