Wolverhampton Business Week will run from Monday 21 to Friday 25 September, with free events across the city featuring local businesses and organisations.
Community Radio Behind the Scenes
On Monday 21 September, WCR FM is opening its doors for a behind-the-scenes tour. Visitors can meet the team, explore the studios and record their own jingles. The community radio station, run as a volunteer-led community interest company, offers communication training, confidence building and skills development to local people.
Wolverhampton Grand Theatre Strategy Launch
Wolverhampton Grand Theatre will present its 10-year business strategy on Tuesday 22 September from 6pm to 10pm. The event, hosted by Amber Sandhu and the theatre's executive team, will outline the venue's vision and ambitions for the next decade. A panel of distinguished guests including Abid Hussain, Kiri Grant and Duncan Jones will take part in the discussion.
BlackRook Academy Opens City Centre Base
BlackRook Academy will celebrate the opening of its new city centre offices and training facilities at the Chubb Building on Friday 25 September from 2pm to 5pm. The drop-in event will allow visitors to network with local businesses, education providers and regional partners, and learn how BlackRook supports employers and individuals to develop social media, digital marketing and content creation skills.
Sustainable Fashion Panel at Art Gallery
Wolverhampton Art Gallery will host a Friday Lates session on 25 September from 6pm to 9pm. Sustainable fashion hub Reinvntd CIC will lead a panel discussion titled 'Rethinking Consumption: A Conversation Inspired by Art and Fashion'. Hosted by Maya Patel, Founder and Director of Reinvntd, the discussion will explore how innovation, repair, reuse and the circular economy can help shape a more sustainable future, drawing inspiration from the gallery's Pop Art collection.
Councillor Stephen Simkins, City of Wolverhampton Council Leader, said Business Week gives local businesses the chance to highlight their achievements and share experiences with the wider business community.
