Wolverhampton City Council is hosting a free drop-in recruitment event during Business Week on Wednesday 23 September. The session runs from 10.30am to 2.30pm at the Wolves at Work hub in the i10 building on Railway Drive (postcode WV1 1LD).
The event brings together local employers, training providers, and employment support services to help residents explore job opportunities and progress towards employment.
What to expect at the event
Attendees will be able to meet local employers with current vacancies, explore opportunities through the Wolves at Work programme, and speak to training providers about courses and skills development. Career advice and information about different sectors will be available, alongside networking opportunities with employers and industry professionals. Support with job applications and career planning will also be offered.
Free employability workshops will run throughout the day. Topics include CV writing, cover letters and personal statements, effective job search techniques, using LinkedIn for job searching, personal development, civil service applications, and competency-based application support.
Businesses attending will promote Christmas recruitment opportunities, current vacancies, training and skills pathways, and sector-specific careers advice.
