Wolverhampton’s Civic Hall will host The Archers: Live at 75 on Thursday 26 November at 7.30pm.
The stage show celebrates 75 years of BBC Radio 4’s Ambridge drama through cast interviews, archive material, specially written scenes and live sound effects.
Tim Bentinck (David Archer), Annabelle Dowler (Kirsty Miller), Charlotte Martin (Susan Carter) and Ben Norris (Ben Archer) are due to appear at the Wolverhampton performance.
Comedian and Archers fan Angela Barnes will host the evening, joined by Vanessa Nuttall, one of the programme’s sound-effects specialists.
Built around a reimagining of the Ambridge Flower & Produce Show, the production includes audience questions, a quiz inspired by The Bull and demonstrations of the everyday objects used to create the drama’s sounds.
Bentinck said: “We’ll be on stage but the show will be very interactive, and Archers listeners and fans will be just as much a part of it as us.”
The performance takes place at University of Wolverhampton at The Civic Hall, North Street, WV1 1RD. Booking and availability can be checked through tour producer Fane.
