More than 100 people attended an outdoor celebration for foster families at Bantock Park on Friday 31 August, organised by Wolverhampton City Council's Fostering for Wolverhampton team.

The event, called Bounce in the Park, gave foster families exclusive access to a range of inflatables provided by Jollies Inflatable Fun Fair. The public were invited to use the attractions the following day.

Free Social Events Throughout the Year

Bounce in the Park is one of several free social events hosted by Fostering for Wolverhampton during school holidays. The gatherings bring together foster parents, their families, and children in care to spend quality time together.

Council Support for Foster Parents

Councillor Jacqui Coogan, Cabinet Member for Children, Young People and Education at Wolverhampton City Council, said the event was a chance to recognise the work of foster parents.

"This is just one of the many events we hold for our fostering community throughout the year," she said. "It's a chance to bring everyone together, foster parents, children and staff, for a fun filled afternoon in the park. It's also an opportunity for us to show our appreciation to our foster parents, who do such an incredible job looking after children in care."

Councillor Coogan encouraged anyone interested in becoming a foster parent to get in touch. For more information about fostering in Wolverhampton, contact Fostering for Wolverhampton on 01902 551133.
