Thousands of students in Wolverhampton will receive their A-level and T-level results on Thursday 13 August, with GCSE results following on Thursday 20 August.
Councillor Jacqui Coogan, Cabinet Member for Children, Young People and Education at City of Wolverhampton Council, said: "I'd like to wish everyone collecting their GCSE, A-level and other results the very best of luck. I hope they achieve the outcomes they were hoping for and are looking forward to the next stage of their learning journey, whether that is going on to college or university, taking up an apprenticeship or entering the world of work and training."
Strong school performance in Wolverhampton
Wolverhampton has seen positive results at both GCSE and A-level over the last decade. More than 90% of schools inspected in the last year either achieved strong outcomes or met the expected standard across the areas assessed.
What next after results day
Students have several options regardless of their grades. University places are available through the Clearing process for those who haven't achieved required grades or who have changed their course choice. Apprenticeships and entry into work and training are also available routes.
Councillor Coogan added: "If you haven't quite decided what to do next, don't panic – there are plenty of doors open to you, and plenty of support out there to help you make the right choice including from your school, sixth form or college, Connexions Wolverhampton or Wolves Workbox."

Connexions Careers Advisers are available to offer impartial careers advice to young people in Wolverhampton. Advisers will attend as many local schools as possible on GCSE results day.
