A selection of photographs submitted by BBC Weather Watchers shows the impact of recent hot and dry weather across the West Midlands region.
Images include a park in Wolverhampton that appears very dry, and a grassy area in Wolverhampton where the effects of the summer drought are clearly visible. One dog photographed in Castle Bromwich did not appear impressed by a brown lawn caused by the prolonged dry conditions.
The gallery also features photographs taken elsewhere in the region, including dogs balancing on hay bales in Broome, Worcestershire and Loughton, Shropshire. Other submissions show people enjoying water activities in Kinver, Staffordshire, a sunrise captured in Bidford-on-Avon, Warwickshire, and a wood carving spotted in Lickey End, Worcestershire.
Additional images include sunny scenes from Warwick and Birmingham, polytunnels in Gnosall, Staffordshire, and a squirrel photographed in Telford, Shropshire.

Residents can submit their own photographs of the West Midlands via BBC Weather Watchers or by emailing midlandstoday@bbc.co.uk. Submissions should include the full name of the photographer, confirmation of copyright permission, the location, date and time the picture was taken, a telephone number, and any other relevant details. Photos taken in the past week are more likely to be used.
